Analyzing User Reviews and Chrome Extension's Shortcomings
A deep dive into the user reviews reveals a mix of sentiments. Some users find it usable for simple tasks, as Duncan Macdonald states, "I'm not doing anything terribly complex, but it works for me." However, the majority of comments echo discontent. Rohan Sarkar expresses disappointment, "Not working proper. It should be removed from the chrome store." Matheus Boscariol is frustrated by the complexity of the newer version, "Its horible i cant even go to older versions because there more easy why did u make this version more complicated!!!!!"
Unpacking The Chrome Extension's Features
From a technical perspective, this Chrome Extension is purposed to read, edit, and manipulate records inside one or multiple SQLite databases. It displays records in a table format, offers plotting options in "pie", "donut", or "line" formats and allows export in CSV format. Theoretically, this sounds like a handy tool for those looking to develop websites or manage databases. However, the user experience, as seen in the reviews, seems to be far from seamless.
Weighing The Chrome Extension's Pros and Cons
The extension promises offline functionality and compatibility with the latest official SQLite statements. It uses the WASM version of SQLite to open databases using its JavaScript engine, eliminating the need for a native application. Yet, its execution seems to fall short, as users complain about the database not loading at all, as Amulya Kallakuri puts it, "Database doesn't load at all. Tried removing and adding the extension multiple times. Quite bad."
The extensive negative reviews and user complaints make it clear that this Chrome Extension fails to deliver an intuitive and user-friendly experience. The newer version appears to be more complicated, leading to a drop in its popularity. Adding to the woes, technical issues like the SQLite database not loading further compromise its usability.
Our Verdict
Given the recurrent issues and user complaints, it would be advisable to explore other top Chrome Extensions, particularly in the realm of Chrome extension development tools. While this extension's offline functionality and compatibility with the latest SQLite statements could have given it a competitive edge, the persistent technical and usability issues adversely affect its overall performance.

This extension was far better in it's initial stage ( older version ) but now it is just as crucial to use it as it can...! I don't understand why you guys changed the layout of the extension .... earlier it was used by maximum people with the eclipse for developing a software with database , but now it's of no use ... the style is removed, the options are removed... and all those stuffs which was useful in it is now removed!
